I gave up coffee....

I don't want to say permanently but for now anyway.  WHY!?  I lost my sense of peace & calm - I felt anxious and stressed for no real reason.  I was crabby and not myself.  And believe me I LOVE coffee - I even blogged about it here.  I haven't had coffee in 3 weeks - it was VERY hard the first week - withdrawals were terrible.  I thought I was going to die, I had terrible headaches, I was irritable, and I just felt sick.  Plus the ritual of always having a cup of coffee in my hand was hard to get over.  I'm NOT a tea person...  But I needed a hot drink without calories, I live in Minnesota and we are heading into Winter!

I remembered trying Good Earth Organic Sweet & Spicy Herbal Tea last year.  It is amazingly strong and full of flavor - I like my coffee super STRONG, so weak, wimpy tea would not work for me.  This tea also needs NO sugar - it has a strong sweet spicy taste almost like a cider.  I know it is not coffee, but it will do for now.  I don't miss the taste of coffee much, I miss more of the idea of it.

Oh did I forget to say that I'm now calm and stress free (most of the time anyway).  Now it's time for a cup of tea!

Love this Alpaca Flap Hat!

It is a cold, frosty morning in Minnesota!!  As I walked my VERY active 8 month puppy dressed in my mismatched jacket, mittens, and hat, I thought, "I do NOT look very cute"!  I'm on the search for eco-friendly winter gear that is fashionable and warm.  I love this Alpaca Flap Hat by Mayu.  I love the colors and ear flaps (a must in Minnesota) plus the tassels are so cute!

What makes Mayu knits eco-friendly?

Jewelry { unique, fresh, modern }

I'm very happy to share the talents of my designer friend Susan Crow.  She has launched East Fourth Street, which is an exciting line of sustainable jewelry.  The shapes are modern and clean and the materials are all eco-friendly.  She uses upcycled metals along with reclaimed or lab-created diamonds and gemstones.  The styles are unique and fresh, unlike any jewelry I have ever seen.  I LOVE seeing a passion for the environment come to life in such a beautiful way - Congratulations Susan!!

Sweet paper pendants...

I've been a little slow at blogging lately - I'm working on something BIG, which I will share soon.  But I had to share these paper pendants by Zipper 8 Lighting.  So sweet, sculptural, and eco-friendly.  I noticed it in an online magazine call Sweet Paul Magazine - check it out, it's very fun.  Have a great day everyone!
