Founder – PURE Inspired Design
There are designers who focus their talents on exceptional quality and there are designers who sacrifice quality in order to be affordable to all. Samantha Cobos successfully blends both quality and affordability with her modern, organic line of eco-friendly home furnishings.
As the founder of PURE Inspired Design in St. Paul, Minn., Cobos is an exceptional artist who not only designs for the way we live today, but also for the way we want to live in the future. Her understanding of the importance of providing U.S.-made, eco-friendly products that are fresh, fun and accessible makes her a trusted resource for customers who wish for a “greener” lifestyle and a life-with-style.
For almost 20 years, Cobos has honed her craft in an ever-changing industry. She is a driven designer whose passion for the creative can be traced to her elementary years when she spent countless hours mapping out detailed floor plans of her childhood dream home. Though she later would excel in fields that made little use of her exceptional artistic abilities, she quickly realized that sacrificing her true talents was simply unbearable.
After years of study, research and lots of hard work, Cobos launched her own interior design firm, which ultimately became a true reflection of her personal commitment to lead a more environmentally responsible existence. At a time when most were unable to source or afford the high-costs associated with designing eco-friendly interiors, she worked tirelessly to source what little was available and would later determine that she would create her own line of eco-friendly home furnishings.
Cobos work quickly and within two years opened a design studio at International Market Square, the largest interior design marketplace in the Upper Midwest. Interior designers flocked to her studio and were exceedingly impressed with her work and detailed approach to design. Her variety of custom, eco-friendly upholstery, rugs, and fabrics, gave the design industry a new eco-friendly option for their own high-end clientele, but Cobos wanted to broaden her reach and truly make an impact in the everyday world.
Today, PURE Inspired Design is a true reflection of Samantha Cobos. She perfectly blends her modern, fun, style and love for the environment with quality and affordability. Her growing collection includes organic fabrics, eco-friendly furniture, wool rugs, and home accessories - all made from the very best materials sourced most often from U.S. providers. Continually expanding her reach and her design offerings, Cobos is a rising star who will, no doubt continue to create a better world through her beautiful design and environmental sensibility.

Pattern Fabric:- Printed on 100% organic natural cotton canvas or fabric of your choice.
- No chlorine or toxic chemicals are used.
- All pigments and dyes are low impact and eco-friendly.
- Pattern colors can be change to coordinate with any project.
- New patterns can be create with a sketch, photo, or inspiration.
- Pass the OEKO TEX Standard 100, which contain strict regulations including:
- No allergy inducing dyestuff
- No pesticides
- No preservatives such as pentachlorophenol & tetrachlorophenol
- No chlorinated organic carriers
- No heavy metals.
- No Formaldehyde
- No tin-organic compounds
- Must have a skin-friendly pH.
- 100% organic cotton.
- No chlorine or toxic chemicals are used.
- Polyurethane is biodegradable.
- Passes the VOC emissions test California Section 01350.
- Naturally soft and flexible, polyurethane does not require the solvents used to soften PVC or leather.
- Polyurethane faux leather offer a greener alternative to vinyl (PVC). PVC contains chloride and is not biodegradable and it leaches toxic additives in landfills and emits carcinogenic dioxin when incinerated.
- Polyurethane faux leather offers a greener alternative to leather. Leather production is a chemical-laden process, including the use of heavy metals.
- Our faux leather is manufactured in facilities that are conscientious of the green movement. Amongst other green initiatives, the manufacturer uses a distillation tower to capture and reuses solvents.
All pigments and chemicals used in the facilities comply with EPA guidance.

- Seating: 8-way hand tied made with recycled metal.
- Webbing: Recycled polyester and natural materials.
- Padding: 100% pure unbleached organic cotton.
- Seat Cushion Options:
- Standard Soy (S): High quality 40% soy based foam core wrapped in down and feathers.
- Spring & Down Soy (SDS): Standard soy cushion with inner springs wrapped in down and feathers. This upgrade adds more resilience to the cushion but it still remains very comfortable.
- Latex (L): 100% natural latex core wrapped in down and feathers. Greener Alternative!
- Spring & Down Latex (SDL): Latex cushion with inner springs wrapped in down and feathers.
- Back cushion filling: Down blended with soy fibers, other options available.
- Glue: Water based with no formaldehyde.
- Stain: Water base finishes.
- All scraps are recycled.
- Fabricated locally in Minnesota.

What make wool rugs Eco-Friendly:
- Wool is a naturally renewable resource, which is harvested every other year.
- Wool biodegrades into nutrients, which improve soil fertility
- Natural properties of wool in a rug improves indoor air quality
- The dyes used are vegetable-based or 100% eco-friendly Swiss Ceiba

Can I mix and match patterns?
Of course! Many of our color ways look great together – for example our Paprika Scheme looks great with all our schemes except Merlot Scheme which looks beautiful with our Slate Scheme. Just be sure to request swatches to insure you love the color combinations.
Can I do a custom color?
Yes, we can do custom colors on our printed organic fabric and rugs - send us an email and we will help you create the perfect color combinations. There is a small fee per new color - this cost is for the time taken to do the color match. Or if you want a certain combination of any of our existing colors - for example if you receive a swatch and want the colors reversed, we can do that! Or if you want one of our patterns to be 2 colors from different color schemes we can help you with that.
Why do the yarn samples seem lighter than the fabric colors?
The color is darkened when the yarns are viewed at the ends of the stands. Look at the bunch of yarns at their ends and not at the sides to get the true color. Our rugs are custom matched to our fabrics and coordinate perfectly.
Can I create my own pattern?
Yes, we can create a pattern specifically for you! We will charge a small design fee for creating the pattern, but you will have your very own design which can be used on our rugs or organic cotton. Contact me and we will create a pattern from your inspiration.
Can I create my own upholstery?
Yes, we can either change the dimensions of any piece from our current collection Or even create a brand new custom piece of upholstery specifically for you! We will charge a small design fee for creating the custom upholstered piece, but you will have your very own design! Contact me and we can talk about what you are dreaming up!
Can I order a custom sized upholstery, drapery, pillow, or rug?
Yes! Contact me with the size you would like and we will quote you a price.
