Tile That cleans the Air?!

ECOCARAT is a natural ceramic material that utilizes tiny holes to absorb excess humidity in the air and then releases it when the air becomes dry, so it improves the comfort level of living spaces by controlling the humidity. Plus controlling humidity also reduces mold & mites!

Beyond humidity, ECOCARAT absorbs and reduces unpleasant smells and harmful airborne toxins. One study showed that a room with 2-3 times higher than safe limits of formaldehyde was reduced to under save levels in only one day. Other studies show that harmful chemical substances emitted by building materials causing sick house syndrome where greatly reduced by installing ECOCARAT.

What an amazing and beautiful way to improve air quality in your home!

Metal Scrap Into Countertops!

I discovered a new eco-friendly solid counter top today - it is made from fine flake aluminum milling scrap! Usually the scrap metal is recycled by burning, which creates pollution. So instead, the scraps are put into a resin and made into beautiful and interesting counter tops. The product is called ALKEMI and the manufacturing process leaves no hazardous footprint.

The countertops come in several colors and finishes. When you look at them close you see all the interesting twists of metal.

I love this industry! The move towards GREEN has really gotten people to think outside of the box and has increased creativity and product choices!
