Guess what these FUN bags are made of?

I love these bags from Sea Bags!  They are so cute and guess what they are made from? Recycled Sails!  Isn't that COOL!  I love the bold graphics and of course the fact that they were once actual sails.  Every bag is unique and hand designed in Maine.  These bags look very well constructed and great for the beach, shopping, and travel plus you can never have to many canvas bags!

What makes Sea Bags eco-friendly:
  • made from recycled sails
  • handmade in the USA

Friday FUN Find
{ shoes with infinite possibilities }

I know we are entering Fall and sandals are out, but I had to share these awesome sandals from mohop!!  I love the idea and the FUN bohemian flair.  The possibilities are endless.  You first purchase the wedge base  (low, mid, or high), which comes with 7 different straps.  Now the FUN starts because you can purchase additional straps, ribbons, sarees, rings, gems...  See what I mean :)  I LOVE the idea of the recycled Indian sarees - they are so beautiful and romantic....  Ahhh too bad Summer is ending here in Minnesota.....

What makes mohop sandals eco-friendly:
  • wedge is made by hand with wood from sustainable managed plantations
  • wedge is dyed with water-based dyes
  • sole is made with recycled material
  • recycled Indian sarees
  • partner with Jhoole, a non-profit social enterprise in India
  • tons of choices so you will never get bored!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Friday FUN Find { typewriter jewelry }

My kids never believe me when I tell them about the OLD manual typewriter that I learned to type on in high school.  On a manual typewriter you really have to push those keys and remember the correction tape and the ding at the end of the line - it was FUN.  I love vintage and these bracelets by Paisley Monday are so FUN!  Each one is unique - I love that this obsolete tool is re-created into something beautiful to wear!

Have a FUN weekend everyone!!!

Eco-Friendly Sculpture {Unexpected, Emotional, Stunning}

I ran across this amazing sculpture by artist Gretchen Ten Eyck Hunt's, which was created with 14-gauge electric fence wire. The wire medium was obtained in an unusual way, her blind mare accidentally stuck her head under the wire fence, pulling out 300 linear feet of wire. The horse was not seriously injured, but Gretchen was left with the tangled wire and the emotion from the accident. She did a beautiful job transforming her emotions and the tangled wire into a stunning piece of art!
