Sounds simple, but most of us have to stop and think - what am I truly thankful for? Of course I'm thankful for my family, kids, health, dog, home... Those are easy things to be thankful for, but what about myself. On most days I'm moving so fast that I don't spend much time thinking of any one thing. Obviously I should be thankful for doing what I love... BUT what about everything that comes with running a small business - I've ran my own businesses for 14 years, and it is a constant struggle and at times devastating. I put everything I have into my business and my products but I'm still not thriving (not yet anyway). Work = Success is not necessarily true. I have some sad days and think, "Should just I quit"? NO WAY, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! So what am I thankful for??

Time for a vacation...
I'm going on vacation!!! We will be driving to New Orleans then cruising to Progreso and Cozumel Mexico! I'm very excited to get away, but also very busy... I can't wait to hit the road and take a deep cleansing breath... I will not be blogging next week, but I will be posting some past post to go with my vacationing mood!

A wee bit Irish...
I'm only a "wee bit Irish", but St. Patrick's day is always fun. I'm not into decorating for a St. Patrick's day, but I did find these great shamrocks on Etsy.
Have a great weekend everyone!

It is back to work after a lovely Holiday Season... Truthfully I'm not ready and I would rather lounge in this big, comfy bed all day... I know my motivation will return later this week or next - I like to ease into the New Year :)

Eco-Friendly, CONTEMPORARY Calendar
"I want to take a moment to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!"
Everyone needs a new calendar at the start of the new year... This beautiful botanical calendar, inspired by a hummingbird's perspective is created by Susy Jack. The colors are bright and cheery and the patterns are so eye catching and alive. I love the idea of 3 months displayed together as artwork!
What makes this lovely calendar eco-friendly? It is:

- printed with soy ink
- made in the USA

Holiday, ORGANIC Cocktail #2
This minty Organic "Peppermint Patty" Holiday cocktail is fun and festive. I love the color and chocolate rim. Oh and I would use glass straws or the new compostable straws (no plastic please)!
Here is the Recipe for "Peppermint Patty" (substitute more organic ingredients)
- 1 ounce white or bittersweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 ounces organic vodka from someone like Bainbridge Organic Distillers
- 1/4 ounce green crème de menthe
- 1/2 ounce white crème de cacao
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
- Sprig of fresh mint
Melt the chocolate on a saucer in the microwave on low. Roll the rim of the glass through the melted chocolate to create a chocolate “lip.” Combine all of the remaining ingredients (except for the garnish) in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill. Strain the cocktail into the chocolate-rimmed glass and garnish with fresh mint. ENJOY! Makes 1 servings.
